It has come to end the regular phase of the Russian Superleague Women's Volleyball, the teams played over 22 rounds in search of a spot in the Final Four of the competition.
Dinamo Moscow had the best regular season campaign. Undefeated, the team won 58 of 60 possible points, nine ahead of second place and lost only 8 sets in the competition. Natalia Goncharova finished as top scorer of the event, scoring 369 points with 50% success in 18 matches. Fe Garay scored 181 points in 13 rounds, with a 44% rate of conversions in attacks.
The second place went to Dinamo Kazan. With three defeats in the season, both for Moscow and one for the Yenisei, the team suffered injuries of key players, Del Core played in just 13 games while Gamova participated in 11. Kazan did not finish the regular phase out of first place since 2010 when they finished seventh. Vasileva was the highest scorer of Kazan with 214 points in 17 matches Gamova helped the team with 132 points.
The Uralochka was one of the most consistent teams in the competition, despite the modest roster the legend Nikolai Karpol and his son Mikhail, managed to get their team to reach third place in the standings. Xenia Ilchenko noted 279 points from 19 matches while her teammate, the trinitina Sinead Jack collaborated with 250 points in 17 matches.
Dinamo Krasnodar did not have a good season, they suffered with Kosheleva health, who sat out of 8 matches. The team stumbled on modest teams like the Yenisei and the Proton, but still secured the last spot for the finals. The Highlights players of the Krasnodar team were Natalia Malik that scored 329 points in 18 appearances and Anastasia Samoilenko who scored 162 points in 19 games played.
The Final Four of the competition begins on 25/04 with two games, Dinamo Moscow vs. Dinamo Krasnodar and Dinamo Kazan vs. Uralochka. The winners face off in the next day (26/04) to decide the title of the Russian Superleague.
The last time Dinamo Moscow won the Russian Super League was in 2009 when they beat the Zarechie Odintsovo 3-2 in the best of five matches.
