Fe Garay arrived this Monday in Saquarema (São Paulo) for the preparation of the Brazilian national team aiming 2015’s commitments.
After a season in the Russian volleyball, the outside spiker returns to the everyday life of the national team with the objective to be prepared for the commitments of the 2015 season and also to guarantee a place in the team that will dispute the Olympic Games of Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
The 29-year-old player, which enters in her sixth year of services for the adult national team, felt excited to return to Saquarema and to see her team mates of the national team again.
“It is always good to return to Saquarema, to meet the friends again and to return to the trainings. In spite of being a period of intense and exhausting trainings, I confess that I was missing this routine”. — recognized the spiker.
Garay integrates the group that is getting prepared to the Pan-American Games and the 2015 Grand Prix.
In this second call joined the players who disputed the FIVB Clubs’ World Championship in Switzerland, competition where the Dínamo of Fe Garay conquered silver.
The spiker faces this season like a decisive one, which claims of disputing the Olympic Games of Rio de Janeiro.
“This certainly is a very important period not only for the athletes who dreams of disputing the Olympic Games next year, but also for the national team. For the athletes it is the moment to hug the opportunities, try to give the best in the trainings and in the games to conquer his place in the group, and for the national team it’s the chance to find the best composition, to prepare a quite integrated team, emotionally ready for the challenge of playing the Olympic Games at home. ” —estimated Fernanda.
About the challenge of playing at home and the pressure for the gold, the spiker of the national team, and of Dynamo Krasnodar appeared confident, but alert.
“To play at home, with the encouragement of the supporters is going to be a wonderful thing. The Brazilian love volleyball and love the Brazilian national team, but also waits from us nothing but gold. It suits us to being prepared to overcome the euphoria of the supporters and to focus only in playing. If we manage that, the chances to reach our objectives are a lot bigger. — concluded the south brazilian player.
The national team initiates the preparation for Grand Prix with series of friendly game against the Japanese national team to commemorate the 120 years of the treaty of friendship and collaboration between the two nations.
The games will be carried out in June but the places and the dates they are still unknown.
